In 20111, the Clovis Wildcats completed their season with an overall record of 6-6 and was 2-0 in Distict 4-5A play. The 2012 season promises to be an exciting time in the history of not only Clovis High School, but for the entire State of New Mexico. Head Coach Eric Roanhaus will become the winningest Head Football Coach in New Mexico History this season with just one victory. His record currently stands at 310-116-5. He has been the Head Coach of the Clovis Wildcats beginning his thirty fifth season. All at the same school. Coach Roanhaus is a class act and deserves all the acalades that a man of his accomplishments receives. CONGRATULATIONS HEAD COACH ERIC ROANHAUS!!!!
The Clovis Wildcats will be a force to reckon with in 2012. They will return eighteen lettermen. Key returning lettermen are Kamal Cass (RB), Marshall Winn (TE), Dijon Ford (DE), Hunter Hodges (NG), Seth Tinkle (T), Jacob Esquibel (T), Chris Palenske (G), Austin Gallegos (G/DT) Sage Free (LB), Marcos Trujillo (RB/LB) and Dakota Yandell (QB). Coach Roanhaus stated “For us to be successful, we must stay healthy!! We lost ten starters last year”.
The Clovis Wildcats will again be a title contender, not only in district 4-5A, but in the playoffs.
