In 2011, the Eunice Cardinals completed their season with an overall record of 11-1 and a 4AA district record of 3-0. They advanced to the New Mexico Class AA State Championship game and came up short of there goal. The 2012, Eunice Cardinals hope to advance to that championship game once again and walk away with that blue trophy. The Cardinals will be led by first year Head Coach Caleb Aldridge. The cupboard will not be bare for the Cardinals this year. They return twenty returning lettermen. Key players returning are Dylan Frank (WR), Erve Leyva (WR/DB), Avi Sanchez (RB/DB), James Mardey (OL/DL), Mando Rodriquez (LB/FB), Dan Gallegos (OL/DL), Deto Gonzales (LB/RB), Keith Robinson (OL/DL), and Alan Garcia (OL/DL). Coach Aldridge states “We have some talented players with playoff experience coming back. The coaching staff and players know that there is a lot of hard work ahead, but we fully expect to compete for the district title again and return to the playoffs”.
